Girls DO Music
I created the short documentary 'Girls Do Music' for a university project during my first year.

The documentary is aimed at young girls and focuses on encouraging this particular demographic to pursue music as an interest in light of the music industry being so gender imbalanced.

During my research period, I was shocked to discover that only 16% of the music industry is female, and that the average festival line up features 10% female artists. I felt that there wasn't enough explicit encouragement or opportunity for girls to consider music as a possibility, so I decided to create this documentary in which I interviewed girls and women about their personal experiences and why they would encourage young girls to follow this route.

I researched all content, interviewed all people, and filmed, and edited the video together myself.
